Service 01
Residential

Residential design is some of the most rewarding and challenging of all design projects.  Sid Corhern has been designing homes for clients since 1978.  His homes reflect the personalities of his clients.  The houses range from a 1925 historic craftmans style home to a modern 4,000 square foot home blending with the ocean sand dunes.

He feels the challenge is to listen to the client and understand what they want while taking that information and blending it into the uniqueness of the site.  All the while making sure that the project stays within the budget that the client has established.

Service 03
Master Planning and Design Consultation

Many times a owner is not sure how to develop his or her site.  Sid Corhern has been assisting those clients on the varied potentials of their site his entire career.  The size of the projects range from a half acre triangulated site to 52 acres, small homes up to mixed use with commercial and condominium units with a value of $120,000,000 or more.

Sometimes a realtor, contractor or property owner, who may not need total architectural services, but they need some direction on the property's opportunities have been a client.  Sid Corhern has provided design consultation service that assists the client in solving the issues to find opportunities for development of the property.

Service 02
Resort and Multi-Family

During his 35 year career Sid Corhern has had a wide range of design experiences with over 30 projects and 800 units of Resort and Condominium design.  His projects include large mixed use projects with commercial and condominium units to a small 6 unit condominium project.  His buildings have been built on pilings to withstand hurricanes up to 10 stories tall, other projects were built on wood poles to lessen the impact on the dune system and to maximize the views that the individual sites provide.

His projects are located in New Smyrna Beach, Daytona Beach and Key West.  Each community has its own unique charm that has been brought into the design of the project.

Service 04
Historic Preservation

Sid Corhern has had the privilege to work on many interesting and important historic projects.  In preservation it is a challenge to educate the decision makers on the importance of a historic structure.  Sometimes the projects are not successful not because of the owner or design team but the governmental body that prevents the preservation of a structure.  Sid Corhern has experienced the wins and losses of historic structures both as an architect, president of national park friends group and a local chairman of a historic board and community redevelopment agency.

He has used those experiences to bring success to many historic projects that would not have been able to go forward without his insight on the total process of preservation projects.  His projects have won state preservation awards in Florida for his unique solutions to sometimes difficult projects.
